I spent 10 years with Legal Aid managing complex files, conducting internal audits, training Grants Officers and working on various projects.
Throughout this time, I was frustrated by the gulf between Legal Aid and the lawyers making Access to Justice a reality for New Zealanders. This is why when Legal Aid restructured, I made the decision to use my knowledge to assist lawyers across all jurisdictions to close this gap by showing them how
to remove the things that make Legal Aid so frustrating.
I also saw this as a great opportunity to add another layer of support while pursuing one of my
passions: identifying processes and systems that fit with how a person likes to work.
This came to be a passion as through my subject matter expert and senior management roles I held in different industries and government departments, I saw over and over that few organisations had
a clearly stated end goal, and if they did the bottom-up goals rarely aligned to this. In addition, I was always left wondering why it was believed announcing a change would automatically lead to a change in day-to-day behaviours.
So overall, I am committed to assisting my clients to increase their profitability through:
- maximising their return on the time spent on a matter,
- improving their cashflow, and
- freeing up their time to spend it on the things they really want to spend it on
